  2. Robert, you really need to fly out and drive it home,it's only about 850 miles, make a great road trip.

If you have to us a transporter try to use one of the preferred hambers, they will take extra care,I know that from experience. HRP

Danny , I've been thinking of doing that! Few years ago I did my longest car purchase drive. New Mexico to Red Lodge straight through in a 1964 Plymouth 383 street/drag car. Fun trip! But it's kinda winters here.

  4. Are you looking at a topless roadster? HRP

    Robert,

I'll give you a little help ....... then closing this.....

Put a post in the wanted section..... where it belongs.
Transport guys check from time to time.

Contact the 3-4 HAMB transport guys in the HAMB O DEX.

Your comment "reasonable" is a big red flag to transport guys.....
That paints a picture of cheap....which there is a cost to transport / fuel / time labor and equipment upkeep.
Figure it's going to cost you $ 1.00 to $ 1.25 per mile.

If you go through a broker - they want their $ cut up front to post it on a National Transport Freight Board to find you a carrier, then who knows when that will be arranged for pick up etc.
Big National Carriers - open car rigs with 7-8 cars will charge you .85-.90 cents per mile but no telling when you will get it or how many times it will be jockied on - off trucks or sit in a transfer depot.
Big issue for you is Montana.
Transporters avoid this time of year with the mountain snow storms and getting delayed.

The definition of reasonable is - it will cost you money - that is the known.
All other numbers will fit into the unknown ......somewhere between a lot more than what you thought and way more than what you will pay.

Other option - it's 860 miles one way.

Find a buddy with a truck and trailer - pay for fuel, food and a night in a hotel and make it a long weekend and go get it yourself.

I hope this helps with suggestions and approx. what you might pay.

(Bruce Fisher your post probably got moved to the wanted section.)
