The whitewalls seem to be a crowd favorite. 28685749_10216425439131176_92653170247534529_n.jpg 28951088_10216425439811193_429135876480129229_n.jpg 28685851_10216425438251154_8388987590613026421_n.jpg

It will be fun to melt the rear ones off, as I have 5 of them. Sacrificial lambs, as it were. ;)

I'm not a whitewall fan but that said your car is tits and would look good with just about any color tire.

They look ok. Just seams porportion front to back look off. (Size). A little rake would change the look totally.

If your going to run white walls I think they need to be a wider white and a smaller size tire in front and also Ford hubcaps....

Have whitewalls on one side and blackwalls on the other.
    That way, everyone's happy.

    5.60 fronts and 7.60 rears...
had 8.00 / 8.20s that may have been great on a 50's buick, but on my lightweight fenderless rod they didn't play well...

Think it's the angles the front 3/4 shots were taken from. In the rear 3/4 shot the rake is obvious. Other wise looks good.

Not happening. It's much more Chevy than Ford. I like 'em. No point in being shy about the Mighty Mouse behind the hood louvers.

Your car sits great! I really like the whitewalls & tire sizing. In looking at the magazines from back in the day; plenty of cars had the same size tires all the way around.

  27. Thanks for the compliment. :) This car is my daily driver for 10 1/2 years. I know it's not exactly "period correct" but that's OK with me. PM me about the coil bracket. Thanks.

  28. Love the look, love the stance, love the white walls, and love the '49?
    Chevy caps!!

Friends and self ran wide white walls from '55 to late '60s, all on hot rods, '25 tub and roadsters thru Model A roadsters/coupes, '32-34 and my '36 Five window.
When I put black 8.00s and 5.50s on my red '32, they all hated it! Said it looked like "the Cheap Model of hot rods"!
I left 'em on there, (black) as it looked like older HRM cars...

  30. They match that white stuff on the driveway, whatever that is.(?)
