    Good one! Couldn't do that with a lion now a days!! Lion must of had fun or you wouldn't get him in/on the car; he got teefs.....

    You'll get no argument out of me. I'm working from an ever fading memory also. At that point in time I didn't pay that much attention to who was running USAC and Pancho was just another kid from the quarter midget days who able to continue racing.

    I raced there several times nearly 30 years ago, good clay and a great track !

    Marty, went to Cottage Grove to watch the World of Outlaws sprinters run some years ago.
    They got a handful of laps in when that whole side of town lost power, sat there for 45 minutes waiting for the power to come back on, it never did.
    Raced our shifterkarts through the streets there one year too.

  22. Weatherford, Texas, the gas station owned by my Great Aunt, Ella Curtis and her husband 'Hance' Davis. Not sure whatever happened to Hance, but my Aunt moved back to Custer City, OK and lived out her days at the edge of town next to wheat fields, as far as the eye could see.= larry curtis
