The Bobby Wolcott built roadster after it was purchased by Carl Stone. It is probably better know in the form shown below, as the Rollin Stone.

LB the "sparrow" is a very early picture at Dover dragstrip 62/63. Behind it is Charlie Boucher's "Bad News" C/A pick up. Both cars are in what was called the "hot pits".

Mitchell Rasansky in the former Charlie Adams car. Mitch still owned the car in 2015, restored to the configuration as shown here.

BTW, I am not that well versed in the history of these Texas based cars but Karl Knecht's excellent thread right here on the HAMB is an excellent source of information thanks to the photos that he posted and the comments from people like Bobby Wolcott that were there and deeply involved at the time. Read about some great history right here:

I love the fact that these cars are brought back or restored to what they were in the day. I get a great sense of accomplishment when people come up to me at the track or show and recognize my car as the one the saw racing in the 60's.

Bob Johnson and Don Morgan's version of Mike Waters Dean Murray's Triple Nickel roadster. The car is now restored to its original light blue livery as raced by Waters and Murray. Although the team was from Amarillo, TX the background of the photo make me think that it may have been taken at Continental Divide Raceway in Colorado

I did not know there were TWO High and the Mighty Street Roadsters. I believe Francis Crider shoed the A/SR. Who drove the B/SR?
(I know the Ramchargers C/A Plymouth coupe was also called High and the Mighty. Different team.)

From our own Dean Lowe in the DCIM thread (post#47767) in May of 2015
"This is indeed Ed Taylor's Austin 7 roadster. Ed sold it to Jack's Monte Vista garage, a customer of Ed's ET Autoparts, when he built his Fuel Comp roadster that was driven by Merek Chertkow. This is the only fuel altered I ever saw that ran this rare Austin body."

A rerun from your post #1180, less than two months ago. The car is the Forsberg brothers Olds powered A/GR at Freemont in 1959 with Jerry at the wheel although Denny also drove. About this time the car was running in the tens at 137 mph.

Jim Parsons owned the original High and Mighty roadster but I am not sure who drove the second car. Crider's car was a totally different deal. Crider's car was a low riding deal that was basically a pro stocker with a (nominally) Dodge roadster body that had a Ron Fournier (RIP) chassis. Crider later teamed up with Joe DeSantis and that car eventually ran under the Rod Shop banner.

As for Parsons, he had a somewhat checkered history after running the car in the late 60's through early 70's and holding the NHRA record at various times during that period (9.81/141.95 best). He won the A/SR class at the U S Nats twice--once in 1963 with an earlier car and then again in 1966 with the pictured car. Evidently the first High and Mighty was sold to Canadian Doug Brinjak who later re-named it Hippie Hemi. In 1993 Parsons was convicted of the murder of his wife (in 1981) and as of 2013 he was still incarcerated. He passed away in early 2017.

1961 Winternationals (the first) with Don Reynolds in the Harrell and Borsch '23 T that was later to become the Winged Express. The car ran 10.55 at 139.31 to win the class after defeating the Groves and Cirino A model out of El Monte.
