  1. Thanks, I've enjoyed watching everyone's builds. But I need to start a new project myself.;) Ron... Here's a couple oldies. 053.jpg 054.jpg 058.jpg 057.jpg 051.jpg

I've got a few models on ebay that came with other stuff that I've bought at estate sales, etc. A couple might be complete, some were started but not finished, or were screwed up a bit, and some are parts only. Cheap. If anyone is interested, look for yeoman58 auctions.
I saw the ebay site for listing ebay auctions, but don't know if I could put models there. If this isn't allowed here, either, please let me know.

I couldn't find anything on "yeoman58 auctions" on ebay. I tried a couple of variations.

  7. Thanks Ed , They're 1/8 scale. The T closed pickup body, is one I built using the big T roadster. The others I built box stock. They re-released the dragster a few years ago. But not in it's original molded red medal flake. My old Big deuce model, was in a bad accident. So it needs rebuilt . I really liked yours. You did a great job on it! :) Thanks Ron... Here's another one of my old builds. 062.jpg 063.jpg But I can't remember it's name:confused: ?????

  10. Wow! Seeing the Sacremento Autorama pics reminded me that I took some photo's at the Grand National Roadster Show last month and completely forgot about it. Darn C.R.S! These are the 1/24 cars.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Is that Tamiya tape you are using? Any issues with bleed under at the edges? Fairly crisp lines on the scallops? Inquiring minds want to know. I have always admired your paint jobs and would love to try something similar myself.

Thanks! Yes, I use Tamiya tape to mask the large areas after using thin (1/32") strips of 3M #235 Black Photographic Tape to outline the pattern. The color is airbrushed on. No issues with bleed-under or blow-under unless I screw up somewhere.

How about a pair of ‘36 3 windows? Chopped top custom and vintage drag car.

Roof/cowl/firewall on these fit like garbage. Adding to the front edge of the cowl on the chopped car and split the firewall on the stock height drag car.

The main body and fender unit on the stock top was first built around 1975 or so. Stripped it, created a trunk lid and used a few parts from the latest release. Worst part so far was building the tiny English wheel to make a new trunk skin!

The custom will be as smooth on the bottom as it is on the top.

    Stay tuned.

Spru glue. Mixture of Tamiya thin liquid cement and chunks of spru/parts tree. Use white so it blends with every plastic. Let the plastic melt in the glue to an Elmers Glue consistency. Use the brush in the Tamiya bottle to apply it. I started with a 1/4 full bottle of Tamiya glue and added spru to get the consistency I wanted. If you brush it on the body and it won't flow into seams just use a bit of straight Tamiya glue and brush it on top and work the spru glue where you want it to go. Let it sit for a couple days before filing and sanding. If it’s completely dry it sands nice.
