If anyone could identify this disc brake set up on my 1936 Plymouth stock axle would greatly be appreciated I'm stumped I was reading somewhere that you could possibly use a disc brake kit off an F1 But looks like these are still stock spindles
Try taking out and IDing the bearings, then go to NAPA's sight or others and see what vehicles the bearings cross too. Check those listings against the rotors. Calipers have a number on them, a good counterman at your local parts house can probably ID them from that.
The hairpins and chatter spring in the caliper remind me of MGB stuff, but they did not have 4 pistons. Odd looking 'chamber' on the back side... might be Locheed.
https://www.partsgeek.com/gbproduct...QYAyABEgI8KPD_BwE&ad=47433950412#immersedview Volvo used 5x5 1/2 bolt on rotors also.
'66 and '67 B-body Chrysler products had 4-piston calipers. And that bolt pattern. But I can't remember what the rotors look like. Just wondering...what does the car look like??
Agreed on the Volvo-esque brakes. You can see between the studs what looks like plugged BP. I was thinking 140 series but it may be 120 series. Girling I think is the caliper maker. EDIT:
Look like Jaguar calipers but cant really tell, pull the calipers or try and get a better pic of how they mount, jag rotors could have been adapted to the plymouth hubs
