I'm happy with the DJ Safety diaper. I like the 2 pc straps you just un-clip the bag and it's off.

    Hey guys-

Since things got a little weird on the thread (which happens too much in our internet world), we had asked for it to be deleted. So, sit tight and we will get a NEW AND IMPROVED thread started today!

    Thanks for your patience.

Can you see much of the diaper when it's installed? I won't run fast enough to need one, but protection never hurt anyone...

Panels hide most of the bag the buckles/straps/mounting brackets are the most obtrusive. You lose some ground clearance too, I have to watch it in and out of the trailer. It makes for more work changing oil and such but still worth the extra safety, a blown engine is bad but a blown engine and a wrecked car is really bad.

  10. ...wouldn't it be a "gas" to try to get Dale Moody and Sam Jones to attend the Meltdown with both the 37 and the 55 Chevy gassers they used to run?...that would make my day.

It would be going on a straight axle Pontiac, so I'm not worried about ground clearance. Just didn't know how bulky it would look. I'd rather be safe and keep the track clean than it look ok.

  16. Ohhh - one more thing - maybe you better give those head bolts an extra turn or two so you don't herniate the head gaskets again on that little mouse tryin to keep up...

In case anyone is needing a cheap period correct wheel...I stumbled on these and noticed not only was the Flying Dutchman using them, but the Sox And Martin Paper Tiger ran them briefly too...I’m guessing you can still get a chrome trailer wheel just like this...

  22. That's not a chrome trailer wheel. If I remember correctly that's a now pretty rare Howards wheel. Same Howards that made chain blower drives and of course cams. Out of town so I can't check my catalogs. Maybe someone else has a catalog with this wheel in it

Silly question but does a tunnel ram meet the criteria? i have seen some discussion on other boards about when exactly they were introduced.
