Thanks mate! this info about power window motors was great! i must search such also. currently i have no idea, how to solve 6V --> 12V conversion in dash and gauges. would be nice to have original dash in working order, but that remains to be seen... engine, lights, power windows and power seat are easy, i think =)

Here is a nice look as a base. You should be able to find the needed parts to pull off something similar. The grille itself would be be left to your imagination (bars, bullets, or ???) A complete '55 pontiac would be ideal. This one uses a 1955 Buick bumper, as a base. Richard Zocchi's '56 used a '58 Caddy bumper, to much the same effect. You get the idea.
Don't think I'm butting in, but I've been watching. Sometimes painting the lower part of the bumper makes the rest look more custom.
Yes, the 368 intake will physically fit a 341. Port sizes will be your only concern, and I am pretty sure they will match as well. The Lincoln Y block never changed physical dimensions despite ranging in displacement from 279 to 368 ci. throughout its production run.

It appears that you are attaching those "Fender Skirts" permanently? As another '52-'54 owner, I would STRONGLY recommend that you keep them REMOVEABLE, as it would be ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to change /service a flat tire withy the skirts in place! Just a caution.
I suspect (hope) he's just using the skim coat of filler to make the panel alignment as perfect as possible. But I'm sure he'll let us know for sure.
Good note, Sir! not attaching fender skirts permanently those will remain removeable for sure! picture shows unfinished work there =)

It's coming along! Will you be misting guide coats, for straightness? (Spray bomb black lacquer and a long board, maybe?)
