The fenders, splash aprons, running boards and fender and running board brackets are 28, headlight bar is a 30 dropped and fitted to 28 fenders. Rear fenders bobbed 4 1/2".

Canuck, I followed your build on the HAMB and was always impressed with your style and innovation.
That coupe turned out to be a nice hot rod, I'm sure it did not take much effort to move it on when the time came.

I like the 28-29 better. I think the step at the cowl makes it look a bit older. It's funny that the same reasons some don't like them is the reason I do. haha.

I am also partial to the special coupes. My understanding is they built standard coupes until late 28 and then built special coupes until middle of 29 and then went back to the standard. I am not sure about sport coupe or cabriolet production.

    Nice next project Norm.
I'm sure you will do it justice going by your A model project.

As a rule, I prefer 30-31's over 28-29 A's. But once in a while, someone gets the 28-29 soooooo right, that it makes me second guess that opinion.
I believe that it is way easier to make a great looking car from a 30-31. The earlier A's have to be proportioned just right and paint color has to work into it to make a perfect package.

You just got to love the Trashmen.
Boy, it sure looks like the Standard coupes are losing ground to the Sports coupes and others. I'm a little surprised, especially with the strong numbers of the others.

I guess somebody could do a similar thread comparing preference for Tudor's, Victoria's and Fordor sedans and whatever else fits into a sedan version of a Model A.
I used to turn my nose up at model A Fordor sedans years ago, but I sure have changed my tune these days.
I think the late 31 Fordor is a near competitor to the 34 sedan IMHO.
Similarly as I have expressed previously the 30/31 coupe is to a 32 coupe again IMHO.

I think the Model A Tudor has been an enduring entry level body style for a lot of folks since way back when...

Thanks for giving me an opportunity to post pics & share the good times.

That Trashman band...influenced many of the bands I've listened to unknowing that some of their styles were not unique to them...Ramones, Teenage Head and Bauhaus to name a few.

Lets see if we can hit 200 votes for the standard coupe and claw some of that % back.

That move finished off an otherwise already super clean A. Love it, Canuck.

I've always preferred the '28-'29 because of the T-style a-pillar. After all, the T was what put Henry on the map. Of course, if that old fart had had his way, the '48 bodies would be the last "tall tops". LOL
