Big day today, the '34's first drive! I was going to just drive down to the corner and back, but it was so great I drove to the Gilmore Car Musem and took a couple of photos. It drives GREAT. It's quick, tight steering, taut suspension, the transmission (350 Turbo) feels like it's got a shift kit, it spins the tires at even moderate throttle, and surprisingly quiet even with open headers. I couldn't be happier right now!
Congrats, and I dig the wires. Bet you had a mile wide grin, testing the traction threshold. For academic purposes, I'm sure!
Thanks you guys. It's been a really fun build, my first real "traditional" hot rod. I think it's my best work yet.
Where's your plates Ya Hoodlum... Open headers and it's quiet...your going deaf pal... @flynbrian48 Congratulations the Hotrod looks amazing...thanks for taking us on the journey... The Gilmore Museum lots of cool history came out of that name for sure...great backdrop. http://justacarguy.blogspot.ca/2015/10/lynn-bird-assembled-terrific-album-of.html
There is literally nothing like the first drive, is there? A feeling that never gets old, coming back to your own driveway is always too soon.
Wow, what a beautiful roadster! I wish I had come that far yet. Looks like it´s roadster weather in Michigan!
Cool , looks great - you have the right to be proud Sent from my SM-G930V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Well at least you picked a good color. You know how I feel about that, "There are only two colors for a hot rod black or ugly." You have built another beautiful roadster my friend. I am happy for ya. You should get lots of happy comfortable miles from that one.
