I got the sliders already on both of the fronts. (In that picture.) I used a set from a set of Jeep Wrangler YJ seats I had. I had to cut 3” off the total length. Also the pass Jeep seat has a hinge mechanism to tilt the seat forward. Basically have it set up so the pass front seat will tilt forward to the dash and lock back on the floor. I’ll post up pics once it’s done ...It’s nice and clean so far. The steel structure is just 1” box. Nothing fancy and nothing I can use. (At least on the car I mean) I suppose I could use it but it was more work than I wanted to put into it. Bolts were all rusted in the floor of the bus. For the back seat I would just make wooden frames and have someone put foam and upholstery on it. I may take my back seat in and have them replace the springs with foam.
These seats are steel framed done ... absolutely no modifications needed. I mocked up a set of feet for the front and a set of tabs off the back. Couldn’t have been more simple. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.

Smitty, I don’t think these are 35-36 Ford. I have 3 sets of fenders (rings) and they’re all different widths and have different bead profiles. These are the widest by about an inch. May be what you had mentioned previously. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Got the the drivers seat sliders and mounts all situated today plus got the pass seat slider buttoned up. I’m about half way through mocking up the hinge mechanism and rear locking mechanism on the pass seat. The low profile required with the chop and channel is not leaving me much room... But I have it worked out and hoping to button it up over the next day or two. Everything is fabricated out of the Jeep seats mounting brackets sliders and hardware. If you didn’t know they were there you wouldn’t ever see them...Just how I wanted it. Seat slider Handle sectioned to 5” Portion of the pass Jeep seat frame Cut to make mounts for the drivers seat. Tacked in place Seat with sliders all the way forward. Group effort Friday/Saturday got everything figured out and got my car steering. Sold a bunch of things locally and on eBay lately to keep things moving. Replaced the poly tank that came with my car with a 14gal Tanks Inc fuel tank. Ordered a chopped radiator last week so that should be arriving soon Ordered the remainder of brake and fuel system needs. Fuel Pump,lines, fittings, proportion valve and residual valves ...blah blah. Opted not to run 4 buckets and went with my initial plan w a rear bench. Making adjustments to run it with the stepped rear at the moment Not a lot of progress pics but there is certainly progress being made. Did some tool flipping to eventually end up with a horizontal bandsaw and a bunch of other handhelds for the shop I turned a $50 vintage lathe purchase to what you see in that picture Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Ordered my 39 3:78 rear axle/pinion rebuild kit this am and hoping to have this one completed and under the car in the next couple of weeks to get it rolling with all the final components. Nice progress, Mike. Heads up on the DeWalt 18v stuff, I have discovered that they make adapters to run the 20v batteries on the older 18v tools. So if your 18v batteries are tired (which mine are after 5 years of use) you can spend the same money on better batteries. I think they work up to the 5ah size but the 6ah ones are not recommended and have a casing that won't allow them to work with the adapter. There's also a warning about using the bigger batteries with some of the drills but it's still a bargain.

Good plan! i'm looking onto upgrading and expanding my cordless collection and the nice thing about those things is that you can keep all your older stuff going with the new batteries. They also make bootleg made in china 18v batteries now for about $35/pr but mileage may vary on those! HNNNG!:

Avoiding shoveling the BS falling from the sky I locked myself in the shop and sorted out the rear seat. Picked up a Chrysler T&C 3rd row seat. Had to modify the base to fit with the rear crossmember. Took some time but I’m happy with the final result. At this point I need to make mounts for the rear and bring the seats to the upholstery shop. Oh boy ... that’s going to be surreal. Enjoy fellas ! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I have to agree. I was tossing the idea of the buckets early on when I found them, but in the back of my mind knew it wasn’t period correct. I couldn’t bring myself to use them. This seat will get reshaped to match the flatness/shape of the front bus seats. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Made the first seat mount from the leftover 1/2” X 2” channel I used for my floor structure. Trying to make it look like an old cast part and not something made from new channel stock. Still need to clean it up a bit... but I’m happy with the look. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
