Hot Rods Working on old cars.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bruce Fischer, Feb 22, 2018.

  1. I am still working on old car .That's the way I posted it so it wouldn't get deleted. You all know I have been having trouble with both of my shoulders, shooting pains going down the shoulders and arms at night.I finally made a deal with my old back cracker. I been there 4 times so far and the pains are going away.I still have the regular aches and pains but feel a lot better. Now I am going to start working on a station wagon I have coming in this weekend. Shes not H.A.M.B. friendly but I am hoping to paint her and put fresh wood grain on her and flip her for some more $$$ so I can get a H.A.M.B. friendly station wagon. Thanks for all your kind comments on my shoulders. Bruce.

Fresh wood grain where??? On the sides of the car??? Hope it's not the one you pictured. That would ruin it.

The picture looks like the 64 Buick wagon you had years ago. I don't know why you posted it, you must have had a reason. Fill us in on what non H.A.M.B friendly wagon you have coming to re-grain.

Good looking wagon there , Bruce! That's a '62 isn't it? Looks friendly enough to me.

Good luck with your health issues- I was having similar pain in my arms/ shoulders and got put on something for fibromyalgia at the V.A. Hospital. Seems to help, but my Dr. says I need to act my age, whatever that means. ( maybe because I still carry transmissions around? hell I'm only 70)

Nice wagon, Bruce. Glad you finally found one.

Those aches & pains are just a reminder that you're doing too much and need to take a break. It's hell to get old, but sure beats the alternative !

If you read this you {should} come to the conclusion that Bruce doesn't have the wagon yet, it's coming this weekend, so the pic of the Buick is just a placeholder. Probably going to be that Torino wagon he mentioned a while back......

what a pain having to deal with pain - a least you are some positive results with pain control treatments - I bought a OT ride a long while back with plans to flip it and get some H.A.M.B. $ - ha, still have it and keep putting more of my $ into it - most of the time it just sits while I am busy with other stuff. - don't do likewise

but its nowhere close to being a traditional hotrod. Has this site given on its stated purpose?
