History best customs of the 50,s and 60,s

This one was built by Delayne Smith and Ron Courtney in 1956

 

I know what you're saying, but to me, the El Matador is one of the greatest customs of all time. It bridges the gap between eras like no other car did. You can see the influence of the original custom styling, but also the way it breaks through to conquer new horizons. If a layman looked at 60s customs, he wouldn't think its the same genre as 50s customs, but lay his eyes on the Matador and the pieces all fit.
It's one of my favorites.

Who can post a shot of Dave Jenkin’s 57 Chevy. Last time I seen it was Lima, Ohio “Rebel Run” Took quite a few pictures, but can’t lay my hands on them. Beautiful-one owner Mild Custom. Super nice guy with a super nice car. One of my favorites. So many cars, so little time. Later
