Well that's where things are not that exciting, I have a rebuilt sbc and 700r4 that I'm running in it. I had considered finding a older v12 from a jaguar or something similar. We will see as the build continues

I cut back all the bad part of the pillar out and was able to get a piece off the old A pillar to replace the bad portion. Worked out well, got the convertible windshield section fully welded in, chopped down 3 inches and finalised. Pretty stoked to see this done and really pulls together the fact this will be a convertible. [IMG][IMG]

  6. This thread smells like a grinder on metal. I wear safety glasses while reading, just to be safe.

Got to play with the 38 today and ended up dissecting the 4 door decklid to see if I can use a good portion of it to make my new inner structure for the new skins. The coupe decklid is longer then the sedan. Looms like it should all work out and just need to make a few filler panels and it can look stick [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

How far do you go with metal finishing the underside of your welds?

I knock all my welds down before plannishing, I don't get to crazy, I'm good with a skim coat or a high build primer coat.

My buddy Field from metal union sppedshop made me some quarters and skins for my car and this is a rough rough mock up. Pretty cool to see it really taking shape, hope to have these all in place soon. [IMG]

Have not had much time to incest in my zephyrs but will soon enough, here's where I'm at to date and also picked up this cool little lift to make it alot easier to access all panels high and low with out having to be on my back or knees. [IMG]

Skoty, do you plan to streamline the rear of the fenders (particularly the fronts), or leave them as they are?
