Wow guys, some great pics being posted. Tons of new stuff too. Love the hair styles on the guys in the Drifters pics. Unusual to see a mother and baby in one of the shots too.

Thanks for another Trip down Memory Lane.
Always enjoy looking at old cars and different part of the U.S.A.

  4. Sky King visits Portland. I loved that show.
One thing that I got from that show that I believed for years, was that rattlesnakes always travel in pairs! Riiiiiiiiiight.

Ha! Wow Gary. I don't know what year your experience was from but Sky King was a guest at a carnival that came to Newberg, Oregon in the summer of 1962 (+/- a year or so). I was one of the kids that offered to help set up the "big top" tents and was able to meet Sky King personally. Of course I asked about "Song Bird" (his airplane) and about "Penny". What an incredible experience for a young kid just out riding his bicycle! Newberg was roughly 2,500 population then. We're close to 24k now. Geez. I liked it better then!

1541216-0537ece34ec3d6807f614305bac1bfbf.jpg [IMG]I bought an early 331 Chrysler set of Hilborns from Dwayne Snider for $60. They had hogged them out to port match a 392 head. I cut up the side with the metering block and used it on the banger in my roadster. Sold the other half for $60 to some other guy.
