  4. I stared to say Comet but I believe you are correct. The comet would have different suspension.

Thanks! Came up in a training video, looked like a 2 door coupe would be nice, if'n they made them.

Something else that caught my eye: I don't follow new car tech at all, I guess they have pop up roll bars now. As a lifetime roadster owner (C2 Vette) and hooligan I'm very fortunate it's never rolled on me. If something like this came in a kit I'd probably have gone for it. Don't really need it now, my hooliganism is more old slowpokeism.

Very pretty indeed. I could see myself in one. But I'd have to become a banker and change my name to Milburn Drysdale. :)

  13. A lot of them got used up as demo derby cars. Tough to kill.

Imperial was my guess, but I always thought those were unibody.

The body has integral front fenders, etc. but they have a separate frame. Until 1967.

  17. If it was a foot longer or six inches wider, you'd need a CDL to drive it.

And 5,500 lbs. With my mother-in-law along I'd have to stop at the scales.

  19. a little story about the pop up roll bar: i live at the foot of a hill, on one of the sharp corners of a switch back road. one frozen winter night a mustang convertible comes down the hill too fast and misses the corner. the car slides into my upper drive that was blocked with a small berm of dirt. the berm was meant to divert water and could be easily driven over with any pickup or any car, for that matter, that wasn't as low as a mustang. the impact tore off the lower spoiler and belly pan, tripped the air bags and roll bar which, when deployed went through the convertible top. found out later that the car was totaled.
if he had been driving that Imperial, he probably would have just backed, back onto the road.
