    Thanks Fellers !

Got the middle floor pan rolled out with the help of my daughter.
Me - “ I need you to crank a roller and I’ll feed metal into it, it won’t take long”
    Sydney - “Sounds dangerous, okay”

Here’s our Father/Daughter Friday night project.

Realized earlier today I never made a panel for the brake master. So I’ll need to eliminate part of the floor pan under the drivers feet and make that. To be continued •••

That looks great Mike. Nice that you get your daughter to help you. My daughter is older and out of the house now, but I have fond memories of her helping me or showing her how to work on her car.

New name, "Danger Girl"! Love it.
You're doin' pretty good for a painter, Buddy!
Next summer we WILL have a get together of major proportion with all the new rods being built.

    Thanks guys !
I love having her out in the garage. My son is away at college so I try to ask her for help to get her out of the house and off her phone... I’ve got an OT pickup she has her eyes on.
I tell her she’s gonna have to earn her keep.

Re did the front toe board piece I built. (First floor pan I ever made). Wasn’t happy with it so I cut a new one and started laying out bumps.
    Looks much cleaner

Mike B digging that door haha.

Joe (51box) spent some time at the house today looking things over with me.
I’m pretty Pumped he’s planning on helping me move forward on a few things that have been holding me up...Very talented guy for sure.
    It was a Good day.

Spent some time in the shop Saturday with Joe 51box working on the visor and roof getting things sorted out.
[IMG]There was some tension on the panels above the door pulling the roof in funky directions.
    Got those reworked [IMG]
Set the wood kit in to make sure things were lining up ...
    Perfecto [IMG]
Spent some time Sunday making a new front roof “filler” panel to get the sweeped look I like. [IMG]
Today I fabricated up the radius pieces and fillers for those ... so much happier with this one.
Made it a bit deeper into the roof also, to overhang the dash.

And the shrinker stand/ pedal I made from stuff.

    Wide 5 wheel
Mode A - Pitman arm and drag link
    Model A cowl supports
Clutch return spring And a bunch of scrap cutoffs ... looks like crap but it works killer !

    Moving forward

Ray ( onekoolkat) would kill for that drag link! HaHa. Your metal skills are getting pretty damn good, Bubba. You may have to give up your day job and live on Ramen noodles and donuts like the rest of us! Nice work, Podna.

So I went out on a hotrod seat hunt today.
I went looking for two buckets and a bench for the rear.
I found a rear bench from a OJ Simpson style Bronco (80’s-90’s) but couldn’t find any good fronts ...

I made my way all the way to the back of an old salvage yard with no potential donors with “good bones” until I stepped into an old shuttle bus... I honestly don’t even know why I did, but I did and there they were !
    In all their glory !
I hit the mother load... Hotrod seat heaven !!

The dimensions and form are perfect.

Why buy 2 when you can buy 4 !?

For the hell of it I tried mocking up 4 buckets in the Sedan and to my surprise they fit perfectly.

Now with Theater style seating, I may need to install a popcorn maker before I’m done ...

    It was a good day.

I’m going back tomorrow to buy 4 more... for what I paid I’d be crazy not to.

    Hey Mike,
Those are nice! Do they come with slides or just the frame?
I need 2 of these for my tudor. Will there be any left when you are done??

Yes there will be a few left. No they’re not on sliders. They’re just bus seats. You’ll have to buy sliders and make something work for the seats to adjust.

    Thanks !
Definitely gives us guys another option and one that’s perfect they way they sit. Minus sliders and or risers.

The next build is going to be a Model A Short bus.
Has it been done... or wait. Is that basically what I have now ? Lol.

I shopped and shopped for sliders for a long time and it's tough to beat the price on the Speedway sliders, FYI. You can get the Sparco / NRG type units on Ebay for about $10 more per set sometimes too. If you don't want to fab the rest they've got riser kits too. But somehow I suspect you'll be making your own ;)

I'd snag the side rails in that pic and all the structure they're mounted to as well if you can. I'd imagine it's a cheap way to get good steel and bracketry that already fits those seats you can use.

Also pillaged the shuttle bus for its Stainless grab rail ..freebie for the day.
Future Spreader bar material if I should feel the desire to run one.
