Not me, I'm hoping for the 3 trailer balls. Auction companies crack me up, "Hey Herb, leave those funny W shaped heads alone and hurry over with the camera, I found 3 trailer balls!" :)

Man, what a ton of cool stuff, thanks for posting.

I was there. 32 sold, to friends of mine. They had to remove the 30K starting bid to get bids started..... I left at 4:00 and they were on lot 428 of almost 700. Some things went cheap some went retail...

That 63 Galaxie boxtop looks to be a 406 judging more from the exhaust manifolds than the 3x2's. If it was fairly rust free it should've zoomed right past that $6K minimum real fast.

Sorry Porkshop. I'm working on letting some of my stuff go - i have mixed feelings about having "stuff". Would anyone care to guess what the Purple People Eater sold for? Hope it goes to a good home. Drive them folks.. That way many more people can enjoy them.

  20. Does the auction house post a list on final prices? What did the Chevy coupe go for?

Buddy of mine bought the ‘32, I hated to miss this auction but I figured spending time with my newborn daughter was more important (I know my priorities are messed up haha). Have no fear guys, he’ll treat the car right!

  25. The Chevy originally sold for $4,300 or close to that but the guy flaked out. It was resold and went for $3,200.

The steel fenders seen in other photos from the auction are at the paint shop right now getting matched to the body. This was a neat old hot rod and Rich is trying to keep as much of the car the way it was originally built in the ‘60’s while only fixing things that can’t be seen.

Awesome, sounds like it went to just the right person! I take it the other painted fenders were fiberglass? This will be a really great car.

Yes the fenders that were on the car were fiberglass. Nothing wrong with ‘glass but Rich got such a good deal on the steel fenders it was worth it to swap them out.

    Nice coupe!

Is that the Olsen Brothers 32 sedan drag car in the picture behind the coupe?
