Good original toppers are hard to come by. Lots of work has gone into yours.

    The both look awesome.

So this may be a dumb question, but does the one say something? Or is it just supposed to make people like me ask questions?

thanks guys, I ended up winning 3 more on ebay I try to find them as beat up as possible for a more drastic transformation. the next 3 I'm going to do a carousel horse, a wooden horse and an original style one being red but in metal flake and candy.

yea it says life after death in graffiti style lettering, day of the dead culture goes hand in hand with street culture here in California so I did the lettering in that style. also because it was easier, pinstripe lettering is really hard actually now I see why pinstripers charge what they do. the golden Pegasus I was going to letter "follow your dreams" being that its going on my 59, my own dream car. but thought it be best left black, blue sky so anything that comes to mind whoever sees it that will do. they really are a lot of fun to do, I'm just very surprised there hasn't been a lot of them done already I tried looking and researching and found nothing, not a single one. would like to see some though I can only imagine what a professional custom painter can come up with =)

yea mgtstumpy that's kinda how I got the idea to just customize the ones I got my hands on, I have yet to see one in perfect condition and the nicest ones available still have noticeable wear on them and those average 250 to 300 bucks. these really bad ones I got I got for around 80 to 100 because of the condition

    Hi Reyes,
Are you still involved with the '59 Coupe? Not seen any posting so thought you'd dropped the project?
Still have my cars here down under!
    Did you finish the '59?
Let us know sometime. Cheers, John
