So happy to see Manuel get his car finished! I got to see it in progress in his garage a number of years ago when I went down to see the custom paint colour he mixed up for me for my '37 Chevy truck. It has a number of really neat details like integrated Appleton spotlight mounts.

I've known Manual for several years and to see him complete this 20 year project is a testament to character and fortitude though out life's roadway . A beautiful car featuring great styling and outstanding craftsmanship .

 

Great looking '36, I saw it driving up to the building on setup day at the GNRS, it looked great driving along.

 

Congradulations to Manuel on the dream coming to fruition. Looks just incredible.

Thanks Phil for your compliments. Yeah...you've heard from me about my journey in building this car. The craftsman who assisted me on my quest to build this car raised the bar for quality and I had to do just as nice work on whatever I did on my car. Also, thanks for your support in keeping me on the right path.

Thanks Rick and Mike. Finally found your post and noticed all the compliments. Believe me, I am humbled with all this. I just wanted to enter my car in the GNRS to say it was in the Granddaddy of Car Shows. We received a 2nd place trophy in Radical Custom Coupe class much to our surprise. Finished the car the night before move-in. What a thrill and experience.

 

Thanks Manuel for the mention. Maybe next time I'm in southern California I can catch you and we can get together. I would love to see you and your 36.
