If this isn't Puyallup then it's Seattle International in Kent, WA. Right, the trees are a dead givaway.

I don't know what this is, but I really like it. I guess it pays to be a GM big-wig.

An early '55 at the latest, GM changed to the newer style mid-year 1955. This one would have been an inline 6 and geared like a John Deere tractor. A friend's grandfather used his early 50's GMC grain truck to pull a plow when their tractor broke down and used it to pull stumps. Would have been the twin to this one but with a wooden grain box with hydraulic lift. He said the only way it would go 55 MPH was downhill with the clutch pushed in or in neutral.

When I was a kid the local Fire Dept. had two 1955 GMC fire trucks, one was this style and the other was the new style. Neither one could go over 60 MPH and the speed limit on 2 lane roads was 65 at the time LOL.

If you guys are talking about the red and creme tow truck Gary posted 2 pages back, I'd be willing to bet that is a 48 or so, turn style door handles not push button and no wing windows, no way is that a late 50's, if it is GMC most likely a 248, I think 270's didn't come out till 51/52.
