Technical OLD Crankshaft

  1. Cleaning out My shop and came across this crankshaft upstairs in the attic ....Looked in all my old Federal Mogul Shop Manuals but cannot figure out what make it is....anyone have a clue? Old enough to have a slinger ....cast # 2SA701B also says PARK 27711311_575142779491203_2099126368_o.jpg 27711355_575142826157865_2029420477_o.jpg 27786880_575142816157866_1696480374_o.jpg

    i wonder what else could be found there?

    Do I see seven main journals and six rod journals?
    Might be a helpful clue.

    6 or 12 cylinders?

    6 cyl 7 main bearings probably 1920s should narrow it down. If you can measure the bearing diameters that is another clue. It should be possible to figure it out but with a lot of time spent looking thru old manuals.

    You might try asking these guys. Chances are someone will give you the answer within an hour.

    From the length of the crank the bore centers must be huge I'm betting truck

    Went thru 2 AERA casting number books today with no luck. Size suggests something in the Waukesha - Hall-Scott range

  15. FWIW,,,closest # I found was 2SA-101,,,REO,, '32-'''39. From a 1963 FM spec' book. What are the journal sizes, and stroke?
