Some of these comments have got me thinking that 25 years down the road, all the high dollar muscle cars restos will be drug out of their hiding places, and re-equipped with air shocks/extended shackles, and running around on 50 and 60 series rubber on aluminum slot wheels. Cut, chop or whatever urge hits you. Like someone said, this is a hotrod forum. If you completely restored it to stock, would you want to jump in it and take a 100 mile trip? Most on here had good advice, except for the guy that said beer and tacos. To many of either and you won't be able to stay in the garage without all the doors and windows open.
Put the Dodge hemi with Muncie in chassis. My friend John and I put the body on today. Watch out tudor I got the bug now! Yes there is a chop in the future 5 or 6 inches
for one I dig the direction you took with this car. keep it up andgood luck as for as chopping I used to a 46 Studebaker pu that was chopped was neat as hell to look at but was a PITA to drive and iam only 5ft 6 so check abunch out before youcut just sayin tom
I'm building my '31 Tudor in my head as I gather parts and been thinking 5 or 6" chop. I'm leaning towards 6". I just think they look right that way.

Perfection in the making. More progress pics please. I'm over reading debates from people who would be better off staying on Fordbarn. Can't wait to see this all done. Only question I have, is what color are you going with, if yourve made a choice?
you dont have enough frame. I have a 392 in a 47 Mercury and it has broken the shock mounts and the radius rods and it steers to the right when I gas it and you need more strength
Hmmm . . . frame strength - good points??? FYI: I can't tell if your frame is boxed or not - appears to be an original Model A frame with a few modifications. There isn't any sort of X-member in the middle to strengthen it and prevent twisting. You'll probably get away with it if you don't flog it, do hard launches, etc (at least for awhile) - but it will twist quite a bit if you apply the power of that blown motor to it and hook it up. The body will take a lot of abuse from the twisting - corners of the doors, etc. You might want to give it a few test runs before you paint the body - just to see how things shake out. I know me - ideas related to 'just baby it' don't seem to last very long . . . Just keep an eye on it - you may find that you'll need a stronger frame like a 32, boxed and with an X-member setup installed.
Well finally getting back to finishing my 30 sedan with a blown 270 dodge hemi. Working on getting the motor together. Had to finish my wife's 65 stang convert first. she been waiting 2 years for it. You know that saying happy wife happy life! Keep you updated on the sedan build.
The frame is a custom made boxed frame. Hopefully the guy that built it knew what he was doing. As for the motor, don't think that little Dodge will put out much torque, and it more show than go. But thanks for your input.
