    Well I guess that answers that question..... thanks gear jammer .....but now that brings up the question.. where is or what happened to the car in the article ? for the reason of just being curious ...good looking car never seen anything on it later...

    So it WAS you parked at that restaurant I thought the location looked familiar :)

    That photo I found on one of those sites that just has a bunch of photos of all kinds of cars with no identifying captions or information.

    mo the original still exists in arizona. korke still owned it when he died about a year ago. i believe a friend of his has it now. it's in need of a restoration but it's not terrible and is pretty complete. joe sulpy built the tribute "not clone" pictured above and still has it in new jersey.

    Killing time yesterday and watched two episodes of Bitchen' Rides as they built a '60 Caddy called the Copper Cadillac over an 18 month period. Forgetting about the drama, the shop time and materials had to put the build in the $300,000 plus range. It would be interesting to do some price comparisons of Barris, Valley Custom, etc. costs back in the day.

    $300.000 Do the math. If one person worked a year on the car at $100 an hour shop rate. That's at least $200.000 Now figure in more than one person working on it. Then figure in the extra 6 months. Then figure in parts and materials. Would $600.000 touch it.
