The interior door handles might be worth something, and if there is any usable trim it has value. But the open rear quarter sedan body is the bottom of the desirability list. Still a running heap is probably worth 150k and a complete parts car 1/2 that. Not sure this has a lot of value though.

 

The link I posted has comments at the bottom that express that same sediment.
The engines hold a disproportionally large % of the value, compared to the bodies.

Looking closely it doesn't look like the same car.
Note the dark rust staining on the cowl and different colouration on the front door.
Also count the windows on each one.

 

Both Marmon 16s. I don't think anyone thought they were the exact same car.

 

Call the seller, ask what it is and if he has anything besides the body shell. Ask how much. If you decide you don't want it, pass along the info on the HAMB. If it's a Marmon and it's cheap, I cringe to think what would become of it if a rat rodder got ahold of it (6" chop and channel on a late model chassis).

 

Yeah, I just posted the link to open the discussion about what the value of such a rare car might be.
The biggest question is; Does the seller even know what he has?
I do agree, the most logical direction is an elegant Street rod or custom coach built.
Unless of coarse, you're sitting on an original engine.

Stuff like this always comes up on the other side of the world

 

Looking at the high res pictures, I'm not sure there is anything left to save. It is possible there are more parts of the car around, and certainly having the frame would be a plus. BUT, if you found the engine, it is a 70-100k rebuild job all on its own.

 

To me it looks like it hasn't been in that yard too long, wonder what else is in and around the place. Bob
