i have been driving it for about a month now working out the bugs. i put a new hood on, duel quads, an aluminum roof rolled by waldens, seat etc, etc. hope you all like as much as i do!
Looks great!I saw pics of it from Viva, but not enough to get a real good look. Are you going to paint it,or leave it looking like that?
the roof was not filled so i didnt want to ruin the stock opening so I called waldens speed shop who makes steel filler pieces and asked them if they would wheel me a aluminum one. Walden said yes so I ordered one and trimmed it to fit real tight and then i drilled through the holes that existed in the roof so not to ad any new ones. I then used huck bolts they look like a rivet from the top but are nutted on the inside. looks great and is removeable(not super quickly though)
That looks like a blast to drive!! Hope you leave it as is, no paint! Looks great. Do you still have your other car?? See ya around!
Very cool Coupe. Lets see some outside shots. That rood looks killer. Also would like more info in the bolts you used
the bolts i got at a aircraft supply, they have a allen hole at the end of the threads to hold them. i have her them called huck bolts and locker bolts, but the ones i got have a fairly flat head, i really wanted a rivet style head, I think if you look at restorationstuff.com they have them called a threaded rivet.
nice work. Yeah...we need bigger picts too Got any info on Waldens? What does a roof section like that run...say maybe for a Model A truck?
