I see, so must be pretty small conduit? Or 1/2in maybe and shaped smaller? I need to do something like this on a set of Dodge fenders I have, my other option was 1/8th in rod.

But yes, just because no one replies to your thread, doesn't mean they are not reading it;)

Ok so I fought with my aftermarket window regulators for almost a month before tearing them apart and rebuilding them. So my side windows and windshield are in. Door panels are on, working on the roof sections and back sections again. Gas lines are in. I found another grill shell that I cut shorter and narrowed. Also finished the bed floor. Those stake racks add some flavor, next time you have it out, get a full side shot of them.

Working on getting the engine done. I bought s 55 ,324, for 400$ and had the #8 heads completely rebuilt to # 10 specs. Found some great deals on the bigger valves, guides on eBay. All nos brand name parts. Imnow getting ready to place an order for my pushrods. I also went to crane cams and they did a slight performance grind on the cam

I like your grill in post #37, sure, more work to fill the fenders in, but it sure looked nice to me.

That's what it is. I asked my dr if he had any and told him what I was going to use it for.

Ok as for updates. Been working on details. Because I’m using a electric fuel pump I made a block off plate for the stock pump. I thought I would use this for the lower mount for my alternator, and then make the upper mount. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]im using a 60 amp mini alt. I also made some spark plug wire holders, headers and heat shields. [IMG][IMG] [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]I got the engine started and running good and last weekend decided to take it for its first ride down the block. No luck. I blew out my hyd throw out brg before I could even get it in gear. When I set everything up with the engine out I had plenty of disengagement. I’ll know more tomorrow when the motor and trans comes out. Other than this little setback everything is done.

Glad to see another taking the time to add the fenders.

Here is my old 35 which I sold quite a few years back.

  21. Thanks for the update! I’m so glad you kept the fenders, really sets yours apart from the fenderless trend. Stance is wicked!

  22. That's really nice
Hope you get the TO bearing sorted painlessly

I found my throw out brg problem. Something I never thought of. My pressure plate would rub on my TO brg fittings when engaged. This unscrewed my pressure line. [IMG][IMG] I’ll need to get out the fine tuner.

I tried some practice sign painting on a hood the other day. Can I get some opinions? IMG_0554.JPG IMG_0543.JPG

Is the mini alternator an aftermarket unit or is it from a factory late model something-or-other?

  28. I'm not sure which one he used,,,
Most of the mini alternators come off of industrial equipment like skid steers tractors or forklifts. There's companies out there that will rebox that equipment alternator and sell you a hot rod mini alternator for several hundred bucks more
