I'm looking for my grandfather's old pickup for my dad so that he might buy it back. It was sold at auction as part of Buddy Haynes' museum in Jackson MS in the mid 80's. We believe it was a 1928 ford A model pickup, but could be wrong on the year. It had a Corvette fuel injected engine, and completely chrome plated engine and under carriage. The paint was orange with pearl dust in it at the time. It had Corvette knock of wheels and 2 hoods: one painted, one plexiglass. Any leads on the truck would be GREATLY appreciated. Trying to get it back in the family. We managed to track it to somewhere in Michigan, but the trail went cold after that, and that was still 20 years ago. These are the only two pictures we have of it. It’s an extremely long shot, but we for sure will never get it if we don’t try.

And yes, it is a '28 or '29.

Also, technically that model is called a Roadster Pickup, or RPU. The correct terminology might be useful in your search.

Never seen it at any shows in Michigan unless it was changed drastically.
