Technical Need help to ID old steering box

    Here are a few pics of my steering box can some one id this?
    It has a ford stamp on the blinker switch under the steering wheel.

  2. Sector under the steering shaft, F 100 the way I recall. F 1 had the sector over the steering shaft.

  5. It might be for a F600, 1960, or for 4x4 250's. A step up from the Gemmer box.

    You will probably laugh but the steering box in my 53 Studebaker is similar in design and it is a Saginaw box, I have no idea how many cars used Saginaw boxes, maybe once you get it cleaned up you will see some manufactures logo. The picture below will show what it "probably" looks like disassembled. Left of the the bushing is the seal. I've had mine apart and it seems fairly good. That said once I put a new seal and bushing in I'll know for sure.
    If I am wrong...............well free advice is worth just that.

    The gearbox part of it looks like 55-59 Chevy pickup, but the mast jacket (the column) is not flared out a few inches above the gearbox, like it is on the Chevy.

    I don't know what Ford trucks used Saginaw boxes, or if it's some other application.

    Neat part, sorry I can't help identify it.
