    Hello,
Can't wait to see Don Prieto/Tommy Ivo drive the 2017-18 version of red, single engine, Buick FED from 1958-59 at one of the upcoming Cacklefests or Drag Reunions? Wonder what the red, single, Buick FED version ended up being?

Here is an original film clip from 1958-59 of Tommy Ivo running at Lions with a surprise at the end of the last known version of this fabulous FED.

I was able to get in the staging area with my pit pass and act like those pro photographers that get to wander around, everywhere on the dragstrip. It was 60 years ago. But, the new 2017-18 Don Prieto version looks like it just stepped out of the Lions Dragstrip Pits Area for a car show display. Great build and end result.

    NICE PHOTOS, TD:

The original car was sold to a guy in Denver CO. , frame was outside when the local rivers overflowed and the waters carted it away. 100_2569.JPG

Soon after the Bob Sorrel nose was installed and painted, they crunched it and instead of repainting the whole nose section again, they painted the repaired area white and added scallops. upload_2018-1-28_11-18-5.jpeg [IMG]
This also was the first dragster to do a wheelstand--got in trouble for doing it also
