I'm doing a mild custom out of a 63 Mercury Monterey and trying to decide on the wheels. I've thought about doing either spinner caps or finding the 64 spinner hubcaps that the Monterey's had. The other way to go would be chrome steelies. What are your thoughts? Here is a pic of her. FB_IMG_1517078769080.jpg

    That Car is Sweeet!
I like the Ridler 675s, as used on my '62 Ford, sharper lines and less $ than the Rockets I used on my '65 Merc.

Thanks. No wrong answer here, but I think your Car would look tough with Mags.

depends on your budget... can’t pass on some cool looking flipper covers if they’re cheap. but personally i like smooth chrome reverse with baby moons. they look good with whitewalls or black.

I think a set of 1956 Merc spinners would look killer on your cool ride... **clic pic** FullSizeRender.jpg

I'm on the side of chrome reverse wheels and baby moons.

I like chrome reverse but for a custom I would lean toward spinners

my old 62 Monterey.. Unique Supremes and pinner whites... in the end it's your ride...
    it's what you like...

  15. Definitely no wrong answer here, comes down to your personal choice. I've had many different looks on my '63 over the years, from original spinner wheel covers, to Keystone Classic wheels, to baby moons and trim rings, then full moon wheel covers and now back to baby moons and trim rings. I liked all those looks, each one changed the car's personality a bit.

I had a 60 T-Bird mild custom and had spinners on it for a while but switched to chrome wheels. Liked the chrome wheels a lot better. I usually ran the fender skirts with them, more of a 60's look, also had a set of Torque Thrusts off my sons Mustang that I ran sometimes.

I started with 14" Galaxie hubcaps on my wife's 1960 Falcon wagon and then located 14" 4-lug Truespokes with tri-bar spinners. Given the size of your Mercury, 15" hubcaps and wheels would be more proportional.

I feel like every one has supremes now but either way I’m jumping on the bandwagon then because I’m still going to put them on my merc no matter what anyone else says
