“55, the 65 Country Sedan is for sale. I bought it to drive until I found my two door hard top. Bought the hardtop 3 months ago, decided to sell the wagon. Don’t have enough garage space and can’t drive em both, Bones

In this pic, you can see the 400 Firebird air cleaner used to hide the late model 800 Q-jet

well, if you guys are sure this follows the board, I have something to add.
'65 Chevelle meant to be in 60's style.
SBC (obvious) that I plan to keep looking 60's style outside and underhood. Wishing I could justify the price of an L79 dual snorkel filter housing.
I did end up with a long wp and early 70's PS pump, TH 350, HEI and dual MC since this is what I had.
Did most of the work myself. Floors needed minor patching, front & rear windshield frames were gone. And, it had two layers of paint over top of surface rust. Every mechanical and electrical piece was either damaged, missing or corroded.
Hired out the paint to a friend at this point: jan 16 chevelle.JPG

took a while to get it back (about 16 months), but it was worth the wait.
Paint, 15" torq-thrusts & new tires puts it in a holiday spirit.

All I need now is a decent photo, and 3.73 gears, and a better set of heads....

  6. I had a 55 Bel Air hardtop in the same brown and white....had a 235/3 speed O.D.
I always hated the color and had plans to paint it black and white. Was a helluva car tho. Never gave me trouble.

I missed the slot. I'm working on a 68 Montego convertible then I have another customized 58 project.

This was my first car and I managed to get it back in the early 80's. A 302 and C4 replaced the 289 hi po and four speed that was missing. I started restoring it in the early 2000's and finished this last summer.
