I may be out voted but I would not chop it . I like it with a stock top . I would love to have one just like it is .I would just probably live in it in the summer. Nice work ,I will stay tuned !!

I like the changes but if mine would have kept the fenders,I am probably too lazy to keep a fenderless car clean.

looking good. I like that color and the painted frame. it's that "old time" yellow you don't see much any more.

It's been slow going on the 32 lately. Spending time working on the shop. Did however get another set of wheels and tires to try on the car. I've had this idea for a while now. It's different I know. So I've been running a 8.20-15 Firestone dragster (30" tall) 15x8 rim on the rear and a Firestone champion 6.40-15 (27" tall) 15x5 rim on the front for a while now. Thought about running a smaller tire on the front but wanted to try a large tire on the rear. Picked a Radir 9.00-15 on 15x10 rim. The tire is 32" tall. 9" wide tread 12.5 section width. Long story but couldn't get a chrome rim in a reasonable time or cost so bought some Vintiques steel and had them coated black. Plan to run the same 6.40-15 on the new front rims as well. That makes the tire height difference from front to back 5". I can't decide if I like the look on this car yet or not. I saw these tire sizes used on the Burrows Coupe and thought it was great. It being a chopped and channeled 34 they look right at home fit that car perfectly. Any way I'm going to load a few pics next and show you where I'm at so far. Only have the rears mounted. Want to make sure I like it before I go with the fronts. Considering running the chrome poverty F cap, but not sure about that either.

No comparison this car is awesome! But Burrows coupe is running this tire combo.

Was curious what height other 32 rear frames measured at. Anyone?

Rubber adding the 1.5" over the 8.20-15 had to effect the front slightly. Still seems to have the right caster in the axle.

    Got fronts to match 15x5.

Not my pic but these are the caps or something similar are what I'm considering.

Personally, I think I'd like the 8.20 Radirs a little more, but still looks great.

I hear ya. I was torn on what size to get. I really wanted the Radir shape over the Firestones thought about 8.20 (29"), 10.00-15 (29"), and these 9.00-15(32"). If I had gone with either 29" tall rear I was going to run a shorter front tire. 25-26" tall. The height difference would have still been around 5" between front and back. Was hoping that the 32" tire would look proportional on the unchopped car and fill the curve at the "wheel well" a little more. Trying not to look cartoonish, but ...

  13. X2 on this! We did the same to a 35 Ford 2 door sedan back in the 80's. Actually covered up a power sunroof, it looked SO much better with a stock top insert, but was still nicer inside with the filled roof!
