Event Coverage Jimmy Shine Car Show Brisbane

Jimmy Shine and Billy Gibbons were over here for a number of scheduled appearances at various locations. They do a sit down and chat with a compere who gets them to talk about how their
careers developed in hot rodding and music. I went to one back in 2016 and it was "OK" but a bit drawn out but Billy did do some songs solo and then a meet and greet.
Well this one did not finish well apparently as the audiences at a couple of shows got upset as Billy was not doing any music and said he wasn't expecting to. So the last show in Brisbane was cancelled and Billy flew home.
Jimmy Shine and his daughter stayed to host the previously arranged show held at the Sandstone Point Hotel on Sunday 14th. It was a stinking hot day with the temperature at 39 degrees C(100F) but still probably 400 cars rolled in with a mixture of hot rods,classics,customs and some odd ball stuff(no photos) Jimmy was giving out 20 awards for various cars. If you had a green sticker on your headlight you were a winner. I was surprised to spot a sticker on the roadster but more was to come.

Now my surprise was to come. I was told to wait at the end of the line in the awards presentation and lo and behold I got the autographed Jimmy Shine/Billy Gibbons Award of Excellence for Top Car of the Show
