My entry rolled in fairly lackadaisically about 5:30 this morning. Not too concerned about reaction time since receiving the email about how the entries will be chosen this year. Not sure the holeshots are going to mean much. I certainly would not want that job. Thanks to all hard working Meltdown Officials that start making this amazing event happen 6 month (and earlier) before the first pit pass is sold. Flattery never hurts right? ...lmao!

Ahhhhh, Meltdowns. Seemed like yesterday 2017 hit me hard in the gut. One of my biggest awaited Daddy’s day off will be this years event.
Sadly I won’t be able to run my 32 PU for at least two more years. Happily this event has caused me to start on a path to a bigger mill. I was putting a 347 back together with AFR Renegade heads and a cross ram intake backed with a t10. Now I’m going with a tall deck 408 and 220cc instead of 205s. Should be good for another 100+ at the clutch pack. Good luck 4 speed, here’s a nice trans blanket to keep you warm.

James when you are ready to make some serious power with a W motor and decide that some boost is required I will be more than happy to help and truthfully none of us clowns even have any idea what serious hp is cause none of us have tipped a can far enough to have any big power lmao until I win the lottery I am content with my meager hp level lol

Oh I am going to make some serious power out of a 09......but its going to be with a bunch of compression a lot of octane some lead in the timing and some finely tuned ventures and jets.

That dang green monkey got on my back at the Meltdowns even after seeing how bad you can crash and burn. I’ve payed more attention to Fuel and blower cars in the last year or so than I have in my entire life. A supercharger is in my future now and and I wake up some nights sweating and itching from dreams of this volatile stuff in my “Fuel” tank’s future.

It went very well, engine is in the car and ready to test and tune.

 

Did you run it on nitro? What kind of numbers did it make?

 

No nitro at this point, need to work the bugs out.

 

Do any of you guys go to Automotion in the Dells? We will be there this year again with Lil II Sassy. It would be cool if some of you guys came up and we could all park together. AJ I WILL have some apple pie Moonshine with us!

 

I have gone several times. I most likely will go this year. If the weather on saturday night is good we go to the drive in movies.

 

I like going to this show, but I've never brought the car.

the Sherwood forest camp grounds would have room to camp. and its close.

 

You could drive the race car in! Carly drove hers in last year with open headers! She only had her learners permit then.

 

Tore my rear end apart in my model a, to upgrade axles and found what my popping noise was. The limited slip was smoked and pieces of spider gear. I pretty well new that,but both axle bearings are bad .A couple balls in each were junk and the outer races busted. 3500 miles,it went together smooth. Do I have a bent housing or something or just more crap bearings?
