  2. Good news fellas, got the wife to let me use another 1000 out of savings. Woohoo. Ok, what exactly extra would I need to rebuild the front end. The brakes are going to by rebuilt all around or replaced.

    You should be on your way with the front axle. Another less expensive option for springs would be to re-arch your original main spring to give you a reverse spring eye. There are plenty of threads on here that show how to do that. Check out Chris' thread about building his car for tips on using original parts. There are other similar threads. You'll find other places to use that extra $1,000 as you progress!
