I got this old compressor a few years ago. When I got it I did not really look at it till today. I had to go looking for a belt for my drill press. I knew it had a belt on it turned out wrong belt. Anyway I got looking at it and what a cool old compressor. I thought I would share some pics of it with all of you. If any of you have any information on it that would be cool. If not still a cool old compressor. It dose pump air and it has a newer motor on it. The model is 930-K the tank I believe is cast iron.

Stick a magnet on the tank, sure looks like cast aluminum.

Top line compressor in their day. It looks like someone went up a few frame sizes on the motor when they replaced it though.

In the 1930s, the motor probably was that big or bigger.

  8. Probably originally built as an air supply for pneumatic HVAC control which is now obsolete.

Its a single cylinder ,single stage, very good compressor just don't expect too much from it. Around 125 lbs. max and not a lot of volume but I bought parts for one almost like it a few years ago,so parts were still available then

I would not expect much from it either. I got it about 3 years ago. I had stopped off at a moving sale it was at the end. I bought some things . As I'm leaving the guy says hey. You want this old compressor. I said sure why not from there it ended up in the shed.

I just found this it an estate sale other than the pressure gauge it looks to be original I love the color, going to finish cleaning it up and replace the wiring but it runs and pumps

There was a Saylor-Beall factory in the town I grew up in, St. Johns, Michigan. It closed down in the 1990’s I believe.
