I should have known you would like that one Peter.
Here's another featuring The California Kid.

What's not to like about a T roadster with an injected Nailhead, Geoff. After all the Nailhead is the "ultimate" engine for a T bucket/roadster.

Hey Tony. Good to see you.
You'll be happy to know I have the Victoria and the 5W out of the garage for a wash. They both cranked-up easily after just over a year. I wanted to get the 3 window up on the hoist to give it a bit of a once over. Which I will do tomorrow.
So this afternoon with cars outside I have been having a clean up and mopping the floor, whilst listening to the cricket.
I'll give you a call in the next couple of days.
Your roadster looked great down at the beach.

This cover will bring back memories for Rita and Tony.
It could have a number of titles. 'The Barn Find', Memories Of The Barn', as well as a few others I can think of.

    Thankyou for the encouragement Mick.
Here's a new cover, we at 'The Magazine Of The Mind Publishing Company', don't condone the driving shown in the image on this cover. But we thought it was such a dynamic action shot we just had to make use of it.

So I am sitting here in he Executive Office (the garage) of 'The Magazine Of The Mind Publishing Company' at the computer, computing; when my e-mail pings. Turns out it's an e-mail from the sons, that is the sons of Tommy Flathead; Ethan and Jackson.
What they were asking was for some help in the design of a possible project and did I have any ideas. I told them that whilst Tom was living down here he was talking about a '32 sport coupe. So that set the ball rolling, I told them to have a look on the web at '32 sport coupes. A while later a couple of images came back, one of what they found and the other of how Tommy Flathead and sons would build it.
So I said I will do a cover to surprize their dad with their efforts.

Hi Paul, it's nice to meet you.
If you post images I can have a play. Whether I produce anything magical I can't guarantee.

Here's one Mick Smith and the Sydney guys will enjoy. Although I have taken liberties with both roadsters.

Happy new year whodack and Margret !! Yeah the boys are very busy at TF&S's! Plenty of stagnant projects needing attention. The sports coupe will be special.

    Thanks for those images Paul.
My sister and I did a quick trip down to Rita and Tony's so I haven't been on for a couple of days.
I will be able to work with those images Paul. I may even consult with the crew of 'The Dago Speed Shop.
But here is a quick one I just did, that Tony will really enjoy.

Hey Chad. Thanks for that. I did remember Mick telling me that your dad was in that image and I was going to mention it when I was planning the post; but I got so engrossed in playing with the image that I forgot to. I hope it was OK to have played with that image.
Here's an old magazine I came across whilst we were on our way back from Rita and Tony's, we stopped at a second hand shop in a little rinky dink little town in the south west. Of course my eyes are always scanning for piles of old magazines. I spotted a bunch in a dusty back corner. After around 15 minutes of digging I struck gold. Only because I don't think old Womens Weekly's and New Ideas are gold in my mind. But then again I might have it all wrong. MMMMMMMM now there's a thought, I wonder what Charlie's coupe would look like on the cover of a '58 Women's Weekly or maybe a 4 door sedan.
Don't worry Paul, it's just my crazy mixed up creative mind thinking out aloud.

Ah ha. Your right on the ball there Charlie.
Of course with the technology we have here at 'The Magazine Of the Mind Publishing Company' we can do some serious re-engineering with the push of a few buttons and I don't even get my hands dirty.
I am glad you like what I produced Paul.
I have been playing with cover concepts for the '32 sedan, but nothing has clicked for me yet. But I will continue to work on it.
You had the sedan for sale at one time, didn't you? Did it sell?
Anyhow when I wasn't getting anywhere with you sedan, I did one featuring Tony's roadster in front of their new/old house.
    I really like this cover.

All good Geoff, I think you fixed the photo with your editing. How is the coupe coming along?

    Hey Chad.
I think I improved on the image, but that is how I like them low and chopped. Sometimes when I do that from a back in the day' image it can tend to take it out of the era it was. But I think that shot still has a good feel from the era.
The 3W is good. Have just been doing a few things for the trip down to Rita and Tony's for the Port Fairy run. But the goal posts changed yesterday. Tony is coming down here tomorrow and we are going over to The Island on the weekend for the Custom Nationals. Then Wednesday we are heading down to Tom's and leaving from there on Thursday to go back to Rita and Tony's with a 3 coupe hot rod convoy.
It should allow the chief photographer for 'The Magazine Of The Mind Publishing Company', who is tagging along in the company work car ( my 3W ); to get some good images for future use on covers.

Maybe the Dago Speed Shop crew got tangled up in the raid at the drags. They did turn up unannounced at Rita and Tony's in the middle of the night. Is that the reason Rita and Tony moved house so quickly.
Paul just how well does that flathead go in that sedan?
