Your awesome standard sedan looks to be bone stock! Original or restored?

It's been painted piecemeal over the years, had the rear quarters replaced in 1975, LB upholstery in 1986, rebuilt engine this year (previous one was 1982) along with clutch, brakes & under hood detail. It should outlast me now. My great uncle knew the original owner from church and got my grandfather to buy it for me for $500 without telling my parents when I was 16. Those guys really started this '40 Ford thing for me. Ironically, my uncle was one of the first Chevy dealers in Rhode Island and we were always a GM family. Overall, the car is a driver/5 footer. 16. 20171231_162635.jpg 20171231_162651.jpg I closed out 2017 with a total of 313/365 days with time driving a 40 Ford. I have no idea how many miles that wound up being, since the coupe did most of the butt hauling for the year and the odometer has been broken since 1995.

Here is a couple of pics of the 40 stake truck, from the last day of 2017.

The stake truck started the year with its flathead, got a 283 in July, a 350 in November, and back to the 283 in December.

I hope your heater is working great in your truck. It's cold here in Mississippi and colder in Missouri. Quite a record 313 out of 365. Later Bill

For all you that have to put your 40's up for the winter. Beautiful 21 degree day in North Mississippi meant a trip to the bank and the Zone for a 180 thermostat. Stay warm Bill

Ruth doesn't miss much. I think I see an oil spot, a battery charger, and a spiderweb in your garage.
