Whereabouts are you in the UK Dom? I'm in east Suffolk right now although heading back to AZ early in the new year. If you don't have a spare A dizzy then a Pop Prefect or Anglia (E93A not 100E) distributor is supposed to drop straight in.

I WOULD THINK THAT IN THE ACT OF FITTING A NEW DISTRIBUTOR YOU JUST PUT IT IN THE RIGHT PLACE OVER THE OLD ONE...RATHER THAN A PROBLEM WITH THE OLD DISTRIBUTOR

    GOOD CHRISTMAS

Only a couple of hours away from me then Dom. Can't say I know Saffron Waldon but used to travel to away games at Haverhill RFC back in the day.

Luckily East Anglia has the highest concentration of banger enthusiasts in the UK. Did you join the VHRA yet?

What radiator to use for a banger hot rod build? If you don't have a stock one laying around.

Maybe you can contact Ryan and see about your old account and perhaps you can get back into it. He helped me when I had an issue. It did take him a few days to get to it.

    Merry Christmas to All!

Thanks..I just may get around to it..Right now I'm tied up with the usual end of year stuff (tax stuff, portfolio adjustment, etc.)..Plus I gotta get a race car ready to do a little "Test and Tune" at Buttonwillow Raceway in mid-January. That is if I get time. I've volunteered to do instruction at the University of VARA (Vintage Auto Racing Assoc.). Having not done instructing for decades, I think I need to hone my "personal skills". Years ago when giving flight instruction (mandatory to the fledglings) I was told (at a reunion of such) that I used to slap students in the back of their helmets when they didn't do as told. Also, more than one Co-Pilot got a "talking to" when I was working.

    'what radiator'....
What for ? Stock or use of a '32 type rad shell or ? And, '28/'29 are different from '30/'31...what you want/need ??
There was recently TWO stock radiators on the hamb for sale site. And, they were back your area of US....and cheap !
I'd have bought both, if not so far from lalaland !

Hi all. Posted this over on fordbarn too but figured this was REALLY the place to post it. Anyone know what this intake is? Searching 'f.p.o. Hi-power model A ford intake' and such on google hasnt revealed anything. Is this an old intake or a newer downdraft intake that has been produced recently? I want my A banger to look like the early 40's at latest and dont want to put an intake that has only been produced in the last decade on it.
    Thanks,
    Scott

That's secret you'll never hear on the Ford Barn......

    Bluto,
When I post something like this on the ford barn I half expect to get a question in response:
"What's wrong with the intake manifold that Henry designed?"
    Hahaha

This is what I am working on, by the way. Model A frame and rear end, 33-36 front axle, 32-34 perches and brakes, reversed eye front spring. Have a stock model A engine that will get upgraded a bit and a B trans case with Zephyr gears. Want to put a 26-27 T roadster body on it. Have to get one first though!
