I was lucky when I found this. Previous owner did a lot of work & spent a lot of time collecting parts to restore to original. It was about 90% complete. Since my talents in fabrication & a lot of other stuff is limited I realized I could do only some mechanical things so decided to find a quality person to put it together. Sold the excellent original parts I wasn't going to use & got a frame from Gary Musman (Krylon32) & turned it over to Daniel & crew & picked it up 9 months later & drive it every chance I get. No regrets.

Make sure you buy all your parts from a gender-neutral, non-voting city that has no internet coverage. LOL

Now, wait just a minute, guys. Demeaning cup holders is above and beyond being sensible. LOL I might be allowed to visit Austin again, but I WILL HAVE my cup holders in my Deuce roadster. I'll just park on a different row than Ryan. LOL

A little more work getting the area that blends into the body bent up and tacked in place. Once that is done it is off to get a pile of louvers punched into it.

Looks good. If you can post a pic of it clamped in place, that would be great to see to get the overall look. Louvers for sure.

I skipped some posts, but I caught up on your work just now. Very nice work. I think I'm going to like the lights on the bottom edge of the body; the louvers face the pavement, right?

  19. I'm sittin at the puter....middle of the night....can't sleep due to latest "worn out body surgery" and this thread gets me motivated. When I pass on to the big junk yard, it will be gravel flyin, pipes roarin, and a grin ear to ear. Groovy is getting it done and I see it as a challenge, build it any way I can.

DSC02260.JPG Forward floor trimmed and tacked in place. I had to cut the portion in front of the seat and put a downward bend in to make 1/2" drop to follow the contours better.

Fuel tank brackets are trimmed and will have a base welded to enable them to be bolted to the floor.

Today the firewall was trimmed to get in place so I can determine how best to weld in replacement material to cover over the hole...

  29. My sentiments exactly. That's why you will never see a post from me asking anyone what color I should paint my car, or does this wheel look better than this one, or should I leave the fenders on or take them off.
I'm old enough to know what I want, and how I want it.
We have a pretty neat old station wagon, but I respect the board and don't post pictures of it here since it has off topic wheels that most on here would not approve of. Susie and I happen to like that style of wheel on that particular car so it is what it is.
