Hey Wardog, thanks for your comments and those neat images. You knew I wouldn't be able to help myself, didn't you.
An impromtu Cranksters campout, sounds like a title for a hot rod (comical) movie? Anybody called Griswell in your group.
Anyhow ,so the boys are there day dreaming. I wish dad would chop and drop the coupe. Nah it will never happen, what would mum say. We both remember how Mrs Salau reacted when uncle Gary said he wanted to chop the Spinner. l also I remember Tommy Flathead telling us about his uncle Tony wanting to chop his aunty Rita's spinner, she said that ain't ever gunna happen. 'WOMEN'. Remind me to never get a spinner or should that be a wife? Shush, we're to young to be worrying about that sought of stuff. Yet?
Now if I was dad that ol coupe would be on the ground by now, that top lowered and while we're at it lets turn the Falcon wagon into a 2 door. Maybe the F1 needs a chop also. Boy are we going to be busy next week.
Ah looks like those 2 little guys think the same way as the main man at 'The Magazine of The Mind Publishing Company'. If they ever need a job let me know. But please, no character references from any of those Crankster dudes

I just completed the next four Xmas cards.
The upper left one has a bit of a Mr Horsepower feel about, but it is double sided; turn it upside down and it's the same.

I knew exactly what would happen with those images. I also thought the discussion between the boys would interest you.

    I haven't done a bike cover in a while.
Yesterday I took the 3W for a run up into the hills to visit with Peter Vansittart. We spent most of the time checking out his bikes primarily his Triumph that he runs at Lake Gairdner. He has run a best in the past at 136 mph. He has made quite a few changes to the engine and is hoping to up his speed when next he gets to the lake.
So after seeing all his neat bike stuff, here is a bike cover using an image from back in the day.

Thanks guys. Yeah that's a great image.
Tom I dropped something in the mail for you yesterday. It will bring back memories I guess. The good, the bad and the ugly. But hey you will like it.

PS I didn't go to the brewery.

You have to write a novel my friend, I love ya short stories. The picture with the kids tells it all, I imagine we all sat on the stools, just like the kids, somewhere in our early life and are yet to get up !!

    Thankyou Gary for that.
Yeah I turned 60 a few weeks ago. But in my mind I am still that kid, dreaming of what could be. Only now one has the skills to actually make them happen, be it on the real thing or doing it with mega pixels on the computer and or the written word.
But one really interesting aspect about the age in which we live, is that if one wants, it is so easy to impart a lot of who or what we are to anyone in the world who wants to see or listen. I guess I do this via this the 'Last Grasp thread'.
I am listening at the moment to Johnny Cash on Youtube. He imparted his philosophies so well through his music. A few times on here I occassionaly impart some of my philosophies, for what they worth.
    OK enough of my rambling.
Gary I knew you would enjoy my take on what 'The Crankster Kids' were thinking.

  21. That 3 window looks like it's getting ready to rip a big skid coming out of the servo.

FB, that would be hooning in this day and age. And we at ' The Magazine Of The Mind Publishing Company' , don't condone such activities.

I really like this cover. I have always wanted to use this image with the 3W in the background. But it has taken me a while to hone my skills enough to be able to suitably manipulate it enough to make it good enough to use.
I also added the spinner hardtop to the original image. It suits the whole setting, in my mind at least.
