  1. Everything seem to be working well? It's cool to see you driving it. It's come a long way!

[IMG] A little elbow grease and a little ingenuity to put a nice shine on the old Indy Mags.

  6. I can not express how fantastic the car looks and sounds. You have got to be very proud of her. This has been a lot of fun watching this build. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Mike.

I have a few things planned. One is to finish wiring lights and directional's, try and address some carb issues and add a triangulated locator bar of the bottom of the rear end housing out to each side of the frame so the rear doesn't move from side to side under the car.

Thanks Mike. I am very proud of it. Driving it up and down the street was a blast. When things slow down with work this winter I will be diving in to finish it up.

After many years of wanting to, I finally finished the trim and emblem on the nose of the Fiat. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I have been chasing carb problems for months. Recently the fuel pressure at the regulator was pegging the guage at 15 pounds. Regularly run it at 6 lbs. So the spike in pressure was very concerning. First I installed a new regulator and pressure guage. Turned on the electric pump and right to 15 pounds. So next, change the fuel pump. Still high pressure. Next, I empty the fuel cell and notice particles floating in the can. Thought it was junk that was in the can prior. A closer look I noticed it was foam particles from the fuel cell foam breaking down. Pulled the filter and pump out and they where filled with very fine foam silt. Took out the fuel cell, took out all the foam, and the tank had a tremendous amount of foam paticles. The fuel lines packed with foam, regulator foam, carb also. Entire fuel system. Took the carb apart tonight and did a thorough cleaning. A real pain in the but. Now, but another electric pump, filter, regulator and guage. If you run foam in your tank, make sure you check the foam on a regular basis. I used ethanol free 91 octane pump gas. It is amazing the mess, cost and time invested to get this mess straightened out.

  19. I stopped using the foam years ago, you are not the only one that has had that occur . Glad you got it figured out. That foam can make a hell of a mess to a fuel system.

Here is what foam does in your fuel cell after less than a year with gas in it. Imagine all this crap through your entire system. Really makes a mess.[IMG][IMG]

Called JAZ racing products and voiced my concerns about the foam mess in my car. They told me they don't recommend fuel sitting in the foam for no more than 3 months at a time. Winter time drain fuel. So pretty much drain gas after every use. Why sell a product like that?

  23. Yea! Having to drain fuel is a pain. That foam is nothing but crap. I agree completely, why sell the garbage at all?

Still plugging away at trying to button up loose ends. Door lexan is in. Used original trim and sliding mechanism. Fabricating door releases inside car and picking away at lighting. IMG_20180515_233602_896.jpg 20180501_230737.jpg 20180421_225019.jpg
