This weekend I'm putting a warmed over 390 in my '64 Galaxie. Finally getting rid of the turd 352 for something that's actually worth my gas money. How about you guys? What are you projects are you talking? [IMG][IMG]

Nice to see big block Fords. The best thing about the FE, they all say 352 on the block. Gives me the feeling of continuity. 1964 is the newest Ford I will ever buy.

I love these motors, they're heavy as sin but they sound so good at 5K rpm

It's winter up here in North-Central Minnesota, temperatures are in the teens and twenties, but we've had no snow so the roads are clear. Yesterday, I fixed the heater blower switch on my '51 Ford (after owning it over 30 years) so I think I'll take it out for a ride and see how well the heater works.

Pulled the rear end out of the T to replace the torque tube bell seals, replace the speedometer drive gear, add a leaf to the rear spring so I can lose those coil helpers. Oh yeah and add a rubber brake hose as it was steel line all the way... I wonder how long that would have lasted.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Was going to shoot paint on the body of my V8 A but when I drove my 29 A stocker yesterday it started to make a noise when I pushed in the clutch. Had this happen on my 30 A pickup a couple of years ago and found the flywheel ring gear had moved forward and was rubbing when I pushed in the clutch. Has a warmed over A motor, I pulled the rear end and trans and replaced the ring gear on it. Just pulled the plugs and starter on the coupe and found two places with rub marks on the ring gear . Found info on a Model A site that this happens and to just hammer it back on so going to do that. Has a counter balanced motor with a lightened and balanced flywheel and been in the car for over 20 years so hopefully the fix will last for a while. Hopefully I will get to shoot paint Monday or Tuesday, already painted the inside of the body and panels and did the final sanding yesterday.

I don't think that would have ended well for you, but hey at least it's good now.

As close to stock as possible......don't need a lot of HP for my Tudor. Just a good solid go anywhere driver.

I'm welding 2 sedan floors and 3+ sets of subrails plus some steel together into one usable coupe floor assembly for my '35 Ford 3 window. It's 20 outside and 43 in the garage.
