No provisions for door hinges or windshield posts:

  2. 35 or 36 Ford Truck I Think. My guess is 36 with wide 5 wheels.
My friend Tim Cantlle's 35 Ford truck.

Looks like a commercial cowl for the 35-36 Ford truck, probably had a bread van body or something like that on it. They were also used for school buses but that one looks like a pickup wheelbase so I doubt it was that.

I appreciate Pete posting while I’m on the road.... it’s appears all 36’ grill/hood/dash etc also to be a standard small pickup running boards. The cowl has no provisions for hinge pockets or any type of windshield stanchions. The cowl is definitely factory and not modified.

Ford supplied independent truck body builders with this frame & cowl. Too bad it's not a '32-34 as that is the same cowl as a roadster pickup and it's worth a bunch. Those might the the wider rimmed wheels, also in demand. Most of the chassis where longer wheelbase or 1 1/2T. Wonder what kind of body was on this. A short school bus would be cool.

  8. Definitely a 35-36 commercial truck body. It would neat to know what was the body originally.

I think I found my answer...... possibly an open air delivery truck of sorts. Although the one in the pics looks to be on a big truck chassis.... 1142A133-74C4-49B5-BD16-3E7BB5DA89A2.jpeg

The mystery cowl has bolt holes where the body would be bolted to it...I wonder if the open air cab does, also?
