i don't recall that event...it's not the NSRA street rod nationals and not MSRA Back to the 50's ??????
I was at the NSRA Nationals in '77 but I don't remember anything about the Back-Door Nats. Maybe one of the other MSRA/ H.A.M.B. members can fill us in!!
The Nats were in St, Paul both in 1974 and 1977. I was there in 1977 with my T bucket. Drove from Jamestown,NY
NSRA always had small spinoff areas with Model A manor, A Chopped top area ect. I still have several buttons and my purple and white divisional Jacket I bought there !!!
That was an event put on I believe the Wednesday or Thursday of the Nationals for sedan deliveries back when the Sedan Deliveries LTD. of MN was part of a national group and the Members actually HAD to have Sedan Deliveries! Later the TC F-100's (My Dad was one of the founders) got involved in it with the SDL. It was the "Commercial Caravan" after that at the 79, 82, and 85 nats that were at St. Paul.
Went to the Nats in both '74 and '77. Didn't know about that but I'm just a mushroom. (Old farts may remember that joke...lol)
I was there with my older brother and Dad. We didnt have a hot rod there but stayed at the host hotel "McGuires Inn". It was heaven for a little kid. I remember an orange channeled 32 5-window with "Sunkist" pinstriped on the decklid that really knocked my knee high tube socks off. I wish I had a picture of that car.
I understand your Boo reference, but seriously there was a German Shepherd I saw more than once at St. Paul. A guy drove a T Bucket pulling a trailer with a large dog house and his dog Sieben traveled with him. St. Paul was always a good time.
