My job at the shop today was to make a skin to cover the totally beat tailgate on our '61 Econoline shop truck project.

Really neat solution. I keep seeing smoothed sculpted tailgates on unibody trucks, but they're so plain. Your econo answer is much better!

 

New skin had to be modified to clear tag surround body line. Now opens all the way without contact.

After some work with the shrinker it now lays flush all the way around. Top rail on it was beat so puting a little spoiler/ top cap on it.
