I am building a new "big" small block Chevy motor for my full hood 1932 Ford and cant find any 1 3/4 primary tubes with a 3 inch collector headers for a early Ford Chassis. I do not want to run block hugger and trying not to have custom headers built, surely someone has been down this road before and could you please shed some light on my dilemma. Thanks for any help!
The last 13/4" headers that I'm aware of are these by S&S, but are no longer in business. I've actually bought two pair of these from them, very nicely made. These are on my 427 small block in my roaster. I was having a problem finding big tube chassis headers for my 67 Nova, so I took a chance and figured with enough effort the early Ford app headers could be made to work . You might find a set for another chassis and modify them like I did. Still cheaper than custom headers. Looks easy!
See if any of the manufacturers have any with 1 3/4 tube designed to fit a mid 60's Vette. They drop straight down and turn 90 degrees straight back. A very clean and simple looking header. They are what Im going to be using on my 32 Coupe.
