Good for you, man. I’ve managed to string together 22 years. Smartest thing I’ve ever done. My thing is that I love feeling good when I wake up. Funny how much easier everything is when you feel decent and can think.
You’re doing some great work, it’s an honor and a pleasure to watch. Thanks for including us.

  8. Hey rytang you have a lot to be proud of in life and on your build! That is fantastic that you are clean now! Congratulations! This has been an awesome build I often think about when I am building my 37 Plymouth. Although our generes are different the metal work is the same. You my friend are inspiration to what can be done. Congrats on your Sobriety. About 40 yrs. ago, the wife and I decided in our living wills that her brother would be our choice as guardian of our two girls if we both should pass. " I"ll give you the answer as soon as I can", he said. He then checked himself in to get sober and has been that way ever since. I/we never had a clue, but I know that we
at least saved him a bunch of money and possibly more. This build is Killer, Carp

Man, I read this thread, all 64 pages, in one day! Makes me feel like the bad chop fix I have to do on my ‘54s isn’t going to be the end of the world! Your work is inspiring and your life turnaround is even more of an accomplishment! Keep it up on both ends!

    Congrats on staying clean!
The worst thing about going back and redoing work that the "previous owner" did is realizing that you are the previous owner. I look back at some of the work I did in the past and really cringe sometimes. I've learned a lot over the years and watching your progress really helps with the learning curve.

Keep at it, this is a fascinating build

Damn man, now you go and one up yourself, so impressed by the build.

And a major congrats on being sober. I used to run with a crowd who drank pretty heavily, we fell out, now instead of the bars on the weekends im in my garage building or on a lake fishing. I can honestly say life is better without those "friends" around.

Congrats on your new clean life. Sectioning a car is child's play compared to that, eh? Most admirable.
Your taillights and bumper looks shocked to be there! Good stuff as always.

Good morning everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been traveling for work, now I'm back home and getting ready to move. I did get a little done on the door top. I made a new door top in 3 peices using my break, radius bender, shrinker/stretcher, and english wheel. I also bought a side mirror for it and made a hammer form so the mirror will sit recessed in the door instead of on top of the body. I've never seen a Frenched mirror before! (I don't know what the mirror came off of, but I'd like to find another if anyone can tell me what it is) I hope everyone has a great Christmas!! 20171105_155253.jpg 20171105_155340.jpg 20171105_155414.jpg 20171105_155437.jpg 20171105_155513.jpg 20171126_120331.jpg 20171126_120354.jpg 20171126_120413.jpg 20171126_120423.jpg 20171126_120446.jpg 20171126_120505.jpg 20171126_170932.jpg
