  3. Ken - quite the time capsule you have there. Are you in PA? 25 years ago was 1992. Damn, time slips away.

Yeah, I know Seb. I have been talking to him about the car and told you about a couple years ago. I finally got my dad talked into getting it back on the road.

That’s awesome Ken, I ‘d love to see the car. Seems to be a very similar build to my old hack. Let Seb know if we can be of help in any way.

You got that right. I guess that's what makes it a hot rod. I honestly could use any help that anyone can give me. I have no clue what most of the parts on this thing are.

You are at the right place to get any help you’ll need. There is an unbelievable amount of old hot rod knowledge on this board.

Ken, like loudbang said , protocol around here would be to start a dedicated thread on just your car. If you put up detailed pictures, these guys will identify every piece on her; down to the last nut and bolt. There are tutorials at the start of the forums , that can walk you thru most anything.

Gonna try to upload five pics of my chopped channeled 32 3 window while in hi school, Durango, CO 1959-1960. Flattie first, then 331 Hemi. A shitbox, but at 16 yrs old I thought it was cool. img001 (2).jpg img002.jpg Flatheads Forever 1960 Plumlee Coupe.jpg Hemis Rule Fiesta 61.jpg img001 (2).jpg img002.jpg Flatheads Forever 1960 Plumlee Coupe.jpg Hemis Rule Fiesta 61.jpg img001 (2).jpg img002.jpg Flatheads Forever 1960 Plumlee Coupe.jpg Hemis Rule Fiesta 61.jpg

It doesn't quite fit here, but this is my dad around 1965. They called this car the "Appaloosa".

First shot was taken summer of 67'. Fresh paint (painted outside), 327, 340 horse form a 64" vette ($250.00) and Firestone wide ovals in the rear. Seconed shot was late 1969, just before I went to Vietnam (Air Force). Found a second picture taken in 67'. Definitely needed an interior color change, wheel too.

This might be a rerun so..............
I get real nostalgic when I see a 57 Chevy with thin white walls on black wheels.
Top photo is my BelAir the way I bought it in 1970 while in high school, the bottom photo is how I turned it into the hotrod of my dreams.
Funny how people change, I still like hot rods with flames and such but at this stage in my life I'd love to have that car again the way I bought it.

Thank You! A bit of truth here, those trophies were not mine, but the car was. For a small town, Durango had some truly good hot rods, we took a lot of trophies home from Grand Junction, 170 miles away to the only real drag strip back then.
